a thought on 32-hour week… simply defininy a normal hours week as 32 doesn’t mean those that want to work 40+ can’t, it just mensa overtime pay would occur; this extra cost to employers would then put downward presssure on hours worked (somehow?), and over time, maybe things just settle to 32-hours being the norm. would be interesting to read of what happened when the 40-hour week become the norm.
