As a teen I worked briefly for Dandy’s, a london hamburder fast food place. perhaps 16? 17? it was exact same setup as harveys. i often wondered if this mom & pop joint was the originator of the stype harvey’s used. same large bows of condiments in galass counter, larege sliced picklls, same squirt bottles for the sauces.
at first i was a bit jaced to get free or very cheap food as a emplyee. but buy the end of the week i was sick of the smell of burgers and fries.
i mosylt did drink fill ups. washed floors, stocked napkins and condimehtsd on the few tabkles we had.
i was fired on the end of the week. dude handed my me mony, loike 75$?, and said don’t come back. he wsas alsways annoyed at how i wouldn’t completely fill the pop cups with ice right to thwe top. alwasys harpeing on me to fill them more. i flet bad for the rip off. and i;’m a lotso of ice type of huy.
